Macbook pro unibody only turns on when battery is removed

Hi

I have a problem with my macbook unibody( late 2009 i think) magsafe only shows faint green and will only turn on if i remove the battery.

I know the battery is at its time and needs replacement.

But as it turns on when i remove the battery why does it not when i reinstal it.

And to make mattErs worse i have a 60w charger not 85w

Get an 85w charger . If your battery is very low/depleted the 60w charger doesn't have enough juice to start it sometimes. Try it and see if it helps.
