MacBook Pro Update

I was just wondering if anyone had an idea of when the MacBook Pro would be receiving an update. The reason I ask if I am transferring to a university, and I am not to fond of the idea of buying a laptop only for it to become out of date within a couple weeks. I'm sorry if this is a re post if it is please direct me to the appropriate links as I am still browsing through threads.

The quick answer is nobody knows. Apple is so secretive that even the day before the launch, nobody knows. All anyone can do is guess.

The current ones are definitely SWEET, but I am also waiting for the next Release / Redesign.

Hoping maybe around Late September / Early October.

But ya the truth is no one really knows.

Ivy Bridge won't be out until early 2012, I doubt we'll see anything until first quarter next year.
