MacBook Pro updates?

I'm in the UK and there seems to be some strange delays with MacBook Pros. On the Apple site there is a 7 day delivery delay, while the top model is 24 hours. And all three of my nearest Apple stores are also out of stock - one of them had a load in yesterday, but when I visited today they said they have sold out.

Bit strange this is happening everywhere. Maybe there's a problem with the cheaper two models and they've been recalled, or an update is coming?

Same sort of delays in the US too, I see from Apple US store.

Is this normal?

Since Apple just updated the Macbook Pro's I'd say it's normal.

They were updated very recently, so I doubt that is it...maybe just unexpected demand...

i kinda wish its a deliberate production halt to sort out the screen issues they've been having..
