Macbook Pro Video Output split to Dual Screen

Has anyone had any experience with splitting the video output of a Macbook Pro to two monitors? I wanted to use something like this:

Any specific things that I need besides the stand, monitors, and vga splitter?
 
Not so sure if this idea would work - I think the graphics card will only support up to 2 displays, including the one that is in the laptop itself.
