Hi all, I'll be really brief and to the point with this.

i have a older macbook pro > the screen is broken (cant see half the screen) > I don't want to get it replaced.

My question is can I possibly remove the lcd screen and use whats left of my macbook pro as a media center. That is, to have it hooked up to my plasma tv and sound system.

I opened up the case before and it doesn't look to hard to remove the screen, however I don't know if there will be errors when I turn the mac.

I wouldn't imagine to many people have done this but if someone knows anything about this, that would be sweet.

Why would you have to remove it? The MBP runs just fine in clamshell mode to an external.
