Macbook Pro won't burn DVD

Ok I'm about pulling my hair out now lol. It is so frustrating, I have tried different software and I can't get my laptop to burn a dvd it keeps failing.

I'm trying to burn an .iso onto a DVD disk and it won't work, I'm running 10.6.6. My superdrive supports various formats (including the one this dvd disk is - DVD+R).

Here is one error message that appears:

They are TDK and I've burnt CDs and DVDs before

Disk utility says "medium write error"
