I have a 15" Macbook pro
OSX 10.6.3

When I try to update software via the Apple>Software Update feature it finds the updates I need however, when I try to download the updates it says I need to restart BEFORE I install the updates. When I do that and the ma restarts the updates never actually install???

I check in the installed updates area.

Can anyone help? 😕

When the system asks you to restart are you clicking on the button in the prompt or going to the :apple: and clicking restart? If you are doing the latter, you aren't doing it right. The system will present two choices "Not Now" and "Restart"; pick the latter. Also make sure that you don't have any applications other than Software Update open when you begin the update process.

I am clicking in the pop up box that says "not now" and "restart". I click restart and that is when it restarts without installing. I may have had other apps open, I'll try that, thanks
