MacBook Pro won't wake from sleep

My MacBook Pro has been having trouble waking from sleep the past week or so. Usually, when this happens and I do a hard restart, and after it finishes loading, an error message pops up saying Mac OS X unexpectedly quit, or something like that, but the last 2 or 3 times it happened, I never got the error message.

What do you have plugged in? Have you tried resetting the SMC?
