the trackpad is really starting to slow down and wearout what should i do is this normal after about 6 months?

Try cleaning the trackpad with a damp, lint-free cloth to get any bacteria or dust that may be on the trackpad.
Apple has had problems with top cases on macbooks. Take it back to the Apple Store and they should replace it under warranty.
