Does the entry level macbook have dvd burning capabilities? If not it looks like i'll get an Asus :(

The Combo drive can write CDs but can only read DVDs.
The $200 difference gives you a better processor with a larger cache, more RAM, more storage and the dual-layer superdrive.
 
I would honestly suggest in getting a refurbish model that has the superdrive. You won't regret it trust me, or better yet.. trust this community.
