First things first, I have a 1st gen Blackbook that's pushing 2 years now, and I am running into a few problems.

1. I would love to know if I can buy a new internal HDD. The 80gb's really doesn't cut it at all. I want to buy one of the 250gb ones that come in the newer Macbooks.

2. Around the edges of my Keyboard the plastic is slowly "chipping" off. I know it isn't due to me abusing it, because my friend and teacher are both experiencing the same problems with their 1st gen Macbooks. Would the warranty cover this? I can get pictures if needed.

yes you can buy a new internal HD... it's very easy to change the HD on MacBooks. Look for a 2.5" SATA drive. You'll also need a Torx T8 screwdriver.

don't buy an HD or RAM via apple, as much as we all love apple, the HD's and RAM are all over priced all the time. yes you can upgraded the HD, it is very easy. if you need instructions, enter this in google :apple:macbook harddrive replacement pdf:apple:, when i searched it, it was the second link. if you purchased the 3 yr apple protection plan, then your keyboard will be covered under warranty, if you love you computer that much, apple is expected to update to the latest intel platform soon, if you have the money, instead of upgrading your hard drive, get a new computer, it will be faster, better graphics performance

This computer is lasting me another 2.5 years. A new laptop is out of the question.

I don't have the money :[
