I received a blackbook from my parents last year and decided to upgrade the ram form 1gb (512x2) to 2gb (1x2) . The sales representative at my my local apple retail store informed me that they could not keep the factory installed ram, and would return it to me. so could i use this ram in my old ibook g4,in-order to make it bearable to operate???

thanx for any info in advance

No, the iBook uses an older RAM (PC2700 IIRC) which is DDR. The Macbook uses DDR2 RAM which is physically different than the iBook's
