MacBook ram problem

has anyone had problems with one of there ram slots failing to accept ram, i can load a 256 and it wil run fine but one bank i keep installing a gig of ram of various rams and it gives me kernel pannics.. anyone else have this problem

What brands are you using?

Yeah, make sure it's from a Mac-compatible brand and more importantly, that it's Mac-compatible RAM. 🙂

And make sure the RAM's all the way in. If your fingers don't hurt, it isn't in right.
