    Hi,

I want to upgrade the RAM in my macbook but I dont think I'm completely understanding what I can upgrade to. Here's the specs:

    Hardware Overview:

    Model Name: MacBook
    Model Identifier: MacBook4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 3 MB
    Memory: 4 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz

I read apple recommends that you install equal size ram into each slot but that the max for this model is 6gb. Would a 4gb and a 2gb not work well? Any suggestions would help greatly.

    Thanks for you help

Maximum RAM: 6.0 GB (Actual) 4.0 GB (Apple)

You can find specs on all Apple products with Mactracker.
