Macbook RAM upgrade problem

Hi,

I upgraded the RAM in my macbook from 1GB to 2GB and it works fine. It's just that when I shut it down it seems to take alot longer than before. does anyone know what the reason for this might be?

How "long" is "longer than before"? 5 seconds? 10 minutes?

actually it seems to be fine now. it took about 30 seconds before

My mini takes a good few minutes to shutdown, but I suspect it's mostly to do about quitting certain applications that take forever to do so..
