I would like to upgrade the RAM memory of my MacBook (MacBok5,1; end 2008, Alu model 2.0Ghz.), but there seems to be some confusion about the maximum amount of RAM, 6 or 8GB.

Does anyone know if my MacBook can handle 8GB?

Thanks, but on Wikipedia, it says:
Two slots for PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM (1066 MHz)
Expandable to 8 GB (due to recent firmware update by Apple)
