My aluminum macbook will be shipped out in the morning to Apple because of a bad drive that scratched discs. BUT.. Apple also agreed to fix my "slanted" function keys and possibly replace the screen while they're at it due to just a few dead pixels. I didn't whine to them or anything, just thought i'd mention the few secondary issues (which they didn't even think twice about fixing). Phone support from Apple is great. I think i WILL buy Applecare now🙂
