I have a 2012 MacBook Pro. Had some previous water damage, but that was about 4 years ago. Everything has been fine since then. But Just recently, I have been having a problem...Every time I bump it or move it even the slightest bit, the computer resets.

Could something be loose? I replaced the keyboard on my own a while back and it works fine. Don’t know if that could have an effect. Would appreciate any help.

Either something is lose, and possibly corrosion from the water damage is making it worse.

Probably corrosion on the logic board or connectors. Water damage never fixes itself. Even after it dries, you have to get rid of the impurities in the water by cleaning the logic board in an ultrasonic bath or at least brushing with alcohol.

What do you mean by "resets"? Do you mean it restarts, kernel panics, etc. ?

Is it possible the hard drive is not securely installed? Bad sata hard drive cable?

I like the bad SATA cable theory. It is a common failure point and cheap to replace.
