MacBook restarted w/lid closed

My MacBook (retina, early 2016) restarted and chimed while the lid was closed. This has never happened before.
I left it on overnight in a sleep mode plugged in.
Not to sound super paranoid, but does this mean that it was done remotely?

Has anyone else heard of this?

I am running High Sierra 10.13.4
