i bought a macbook 13 aluminium unibody late 2008 without original restore discs. the battery full charged give me about 6 hours, mac osx 10.5.6. then i restore it with a mac osx 10.6.3 install disc. the battery give me then no more than 3 hours. what's the problem? shall i restore it only with original disc or to the same osx version?
    Thank you

Do you mean 6 or 3 hours, as indicated on iStat Pro, iStat Menus or coconutBattery, or actual running time until your Mac shuts down?

Have you properly calibrated your battery, so the readings are accurate?

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions: Apple Notebook Battery FAQ
