I've never had a MacBook before so can't compare unfortunatly - not fair to place it next to my iMacDoes it look any better then your previous macbook?
Secondly, I checked the battery case. Unfortunately, this was a little disappointing. Where I'd gained straight keys - I'd lost my snug battery case. This one rattles, it's not snug at all - it really sits incorrectly in one corner of the case...
Ummmm..... American cars are built so you have to buy a new one in 5 years, so they have to be made shabbily. Macs are like the European car of computers.
But, having just slated 90% of this community's automobile industry, I must agree with you. Besides, we all know what to expect when we buy a rev. A apple product, so why complain?

I had the exact same worries when I went for the replacement. However, getting a loose battery case isn't as bad as it seems. The metal is so thin that you can easily flex it to be a tight fit again, it's just a case of trial and error. Also of course, a battery cover is a replaceable part - unlike the keyboard. If they keys don't bother you though - all is wellThis is what I'd be worried about with a replacement.
I have slightly angled function keys, but they don't bother me. A rattling battery cover would annoy me much more.
Glad to hear everything worked out for you in the end![]()
