    Hi,

I have a friend who has a MacBook.

Her computer is running really slowly.

We just opened up Activity Monitor to see what the problem was, and turned off her Bluetooth preferences.

    Here are her computer's specs:

    Version 10.5.8 Mac OS X
2 Ghz 667 MHZ DDR SDRAM
    2 GB Ram

The computer's harddrive is also humming quite a bit, the fans seem to be spinning quickly.

Could anyone please help out with this problem? I would like to help her solve this issue.

Thank you for your help (in advance!)

    Best wishes,

    Sara

Install iStat Pro to get accurate readings of your temps and fan speeds, among other things. Also, look at Activity Monitor to see what's using system resources. There are many possible explanations, not all of which mean something is wrong. Also make sure Spotlight isn't indexing, which may peg CPU utilization.
You can also determine if it's indexing by the Menu Bar icon: [IMG] (not indexing) [IMG] (indexing)
