Macbook runs hotter with 10.5.2

    My temp guage is up 5-6 degrees since 10.5.2. Anyone else? How do you fix that?

    5-6 degrees is nothing to worry about, it could be a million other things too
    your room is a little warmer, you're putting it on your lap instead of a table, etc...

    My MacBook is actually running cooler since the update.

    What is your fan speed running at? Install iStat-Pro widget to find out. Its free.

    Default is 1800rpms at idle. What is yours at?

    hi guys, my macbook feels REALLY hot, much hotter than my ibook ever did. What is the correct temp for the unit?

    Okay

    Seems okay now. Maybe it was because I checked right after the install. Who knows. I could go crazy with all of this.

    Typically anything <80 C or 175 F is ok...
