So, this doesn't happen often, and it hasn't happened in some months, don't know why, but today it happened again. I opened an .avi-file in QtX, started it (IIRC it doesn't happen if I fullscreen first and move the toolbar to the bottom, at least that's what I always did when it was happening more regularly in the past) and then went to fullscreen.
The symptoms: see attached pic, also the sound loops at a very short interval (1 third of a second, I think), and the fan goes up (presumably to max, I always cut the power with a 5-sec-button push).
Oh, and this doesn't happen every time when I open-start-fs, it's just really unexplainable.
