I've had a MacBook for the last couple of months, and i've realised that since i've had it, the spacebar doesn't seem to work properly. Only key-presses to the center of the spacebar and the right work. The entire left side of the spacebar is totally unresponsive to being pressed (even with quite some force!).

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and/or what i can do to fix this?

Thanks

I have a MacBook that experienced similar keyboard problems. My delete and forward slash key were intermittent in their operation. I took mine in to the Apple store, and was offered an exchange, since the machine was only 3 weeks old.

It appears that the keyboards are not made very well :( . In any event, I would certainly return yours for a quick inspection. Good luck with yours!

I had a similar problem. The spacebar was unresponsive and made this horrible squeaking sound that was nails on a chalkboard to me. My solution was to take it off with a pen and put it back on. Worked like a charm since. I am not sure I would recommend you to do the same though... :)
