whats the deal with the speakers if you got a dvd in i can't hardly hear whats playing,i have the speakers set on high is this right
or am i doing something wrong as you all figured out i'm a mac newbie

Yeah, they suck; I'm having the same issue. Even more so for DVDs.

If your speakers seem unbalanced, go into system preferences/sound and check the balance of left/right speakers under the output tab.

Trying playing it through VLC and using the equalizer to boost the voices and turn down the other noises.

I agree, hopefully they can fix this in a firmware upgrade or some kind of software update in the future.
