Hello all

I've researched this thoroughly but thought I'd ask you guys your opinion before I part with my hard earned.

I'm about to start studying to gain Apple Certification Support and Server essentials. I may also buy the Apple Technician kit so just wondering anyone's thoughts on what spec MacBook Pro would be best?

I will only be using iWork and iLife so no Adobe Suite or professional video or photo editing. Maybe 200-250GB for iTunes and light browsing and of course the Server and Support studies. I would like to go for the non-retina just to save money and am I correct in saying that the non retina would be ok for what I'll be using it for.

Also I want to get started ASAP but should I wait until Mavericks comes out? Would starting on the ML Support/Server books be ok then just move on to Mavericks when it comes out?

Will there be a new non-retina MacBook coming soon that would be worth waiting for?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated
