Hey guys, I've got this Macbook since about late '06 and it was full of stuff that I didn't need and after a quick format and reinstall of Leopard, the Superdrive won't load anything. I insert a disk and it makes the sound of "loading...", tries for three times before giving up on the disk and then out it comes. I'm using a Zero-scratch DVD and zero-scratch CD and none of them seem to be working. Tried doing the SMC but didn't work either...

do you think is time to go the Apple store and get a new drive or should a try some other trick?

Thanks in advance.

Mauricio

Did the superdrive work before the format? Usually when I see a superdrive not loading a CD, the drives were bad and I replaced them.

Yup, the drive worked before the format. That's how I got Leopard up-and-running again.

I'll guess I'll drop by the Apple Store. Thanks!
