its shows the typical thief has no set look. my apartment was broken into year and a half ago and it still stings. Only now I have a very protective 4 legged lady who watches the place when I am not around .

My 1g iPod touch was stolen 2 years ago, so I know the feeling. Nice to see that in some cases, the thieves do not get away without it.

I know there is something for jailbroken iPhones. Dont know if there is a legit app that does the same.

It's interesting reading the comments on the article. Apparently, in the UK, taking the pictures like this is some sort of "human rights/privacy" violation, and would get the burglary victim in lots of trouble instead of helping his case. And it seems that some of the people posting those comments really support that idea. I think that's crap!
