Thinking about getting the 12" rMB. I would want to connect to my 27" Monitor (2560x1440 @60Hz) using DisplayPort and have seen positive reports that this works. There are also some adaptors to bring the USB-C to (mini) DisplayPort. So far, so good.

Question: How do I add power to the rMB while connected to the display? :(
I would need a USB-C Y-cable, or hub/switch? I couldn't find any of these.

I am aware that there are several Kickstarter-projects aiming to solve this (HydraDock, OWC, Kadi...). However their delivery dates are all in the future, and we all know that Kickstart projects might fail. Also, I'd prefer to just buy something available now.

Anyone with a working solution for this?

"This adapter allows you to mirror your MacBook display to your HDMI-enabled TV or display in up to 1080p at 60Hz"

My display is 2560x1440...

2560x1440 @60Hz working here with the latest El Cap PB (Apple AV Adapter to Dell U2715H via HDMI). Just make sure you're using a HDMI cable that is certified for HDMI 2.0.

We've gotten into a conversation about HDMI, which is easy - but no-one seems to be answering the original question, which is 'how do you connect via displayport?'. I have the same issue, with a 24in Apple display; am waiting on the Hub+ but can't believe no-one has released a usb-C to mini display port adapter yet.

There are several available, the bigger issue is that non on the market as yet have the charging capability, which rather renders the adaptors pointless.

Can you share a link - I have hunted high and low and cannot find one for love nor money. Even without charging, being able to run a minidisplayport screen from the rMB would be helpful.

zhenya has already posted Google`s and I have seen others on asian sites, like below;

Same as before the current rMB does not have the hardware for ThunderBolt, although the connection is similar, it simply will not work with ThunderBolt hardware.

Not yet - I'm hanging on for the hub+ (though it's supposed to be out by now and predictably has sailed past its launch date with no update)...

Hub is basically cancelled, suggest you check their site. They are not able to get the USB C controller functioning correctly, and are talking Feb 2016 tentatively (again), refunding the Kickstarter backers.
