I have a macbook and am looking to connect it to the TV, as cheaply as possible! :)

So, I'm looking on Ebay and of the few results for the Mini-DVI to Video adapter, they all say "Not for Macbook as it has a different connector to the 12" Powerbook" (Eg here)

Is this true?

I can't find any info on this anywhere and I don't want to spend too much on this adaper.

Even on the Apple UK site it is vague about whether it would work on a MacBook, but surely it must?!

The macbook does indeed have mini dvi, which is the same as the 12" powerbook.

The iBook had mini vga. The port was a little smaller than the mini dvi one.

Yea, I think you may be right.

In the photo it looks like a Mini-VGA adapter, which was for the iBook, but why do they call it a Mini-DVI adapter?!

That just confused me. Seems not many people are selling Mini-DVI adapters.
