Hello. i don't know if i'm at the right section but i have a huge problem with my macbook.
A couple of times now i had to force shut down my macbook with the holding the power button for 5 seconds method.
Grey screen pops up to tell me that.
Now when i try to start it up again nothing works.
Can't open anything, it says finder cannot be opened neither can anything else.
Safari or firefox is missing or damaged..
I tried starting it up while holding down the option key to get to the recovery partitie but all i get it the macintosh HD and if i click that i just get the same stuff.
Holding cmd + r doesn't seem to work.. kinda lost here..
I can't even open disk utilities. I literally can't open anything anymore.
Is my hard disk dying or are there still things i can try?
I'm using snow leopard btw.
Hope someone can help me out, thank you!
