Hi I'm having problem with the touch pad when i restarted my MacBook it wont work or the button it just freezes. I verified the hard drive and it says:

Please help.
 
I did what you said the track pad works in the installer disc and it but its still not working on osx. I can scroll.
 
If your hardware is fine when you boot from in the Installer CD but not when you boot into regular OS X, then I'd tend to think that something's hosed with your OS X installation.

As a last ditch effort, you could try to reinstall OS X from the CD, doing a "Custom" install and choosing "Archive and Install". This would reinstall OS X but save all of your stuff.
