some macbook user saying they have had some hardware problem occured after they were using windowsXP or vista system in Macbook or MBP for a long time everyday, maybe cause by the overheating in win OS.
Is it turely happened on many mb users? Hope it's not.
this is a big issue to me about buying a MB, because half of my time I needs to use win OS , and other half mac OS.
Thanks all.:apple:

Well, i do notice that Vista runs hotter than OS X, but generally speaking, i only boot into Vista in order to do things that would make the system run hot such as gaming. Aside from that I haven't noticed any hardware issues whatsoever.

I use Vista Ultimate on MBP all day long. Yes it is hotter than Mac OS, but not a big deal. The heat does not make your system instable. It only gets annoying when I need to write paper on the machine, which makes my hand sweat. So I installed SMC FanControl 2.1.2. The interesting thing is that, the fan speed setting you made in Mac OS stays there when you reboot into Vista. Thus my MBP runs ice cool in Vista at a minimum fan speed of 3000RPM. You can try that.

Thanks for the reply, I think i will join the apple family shortly. :p
