Who on earth is Transtec?

And the site confused me, does the comp have a centrino processor, or a core 2 duo? Or is it optional? ( Or do they even know, every page I click on that site seems to give a different description. One times it centrino, next time CD, on another page C2D)

I'm not that familiar with processors, didn't know there was a 1.66 Gig C2D. How will that compare to a 1.83 CD, performance wise?
