A buddy of mine spilled a bottle of water onto his Macbook. Fell right onto the keyboard. He let it dry out over a couple of days unplugged and battery out. Now when he boots up it gets to the gray screen and the apple comes up with the spinner beneath it. However it just hangs there. At first I thought his keyboard might have been fried so he attempted to boot with a keyboard plugged in.

Anybody have any experience with this? He doesn't have Apple Care as he bought it off Ebay so I figured I would check here for any help.

Call apple a AppleCare doesn't cover water spills. So unless your friend has another warranty like square trade your friend is screwed.

Something else got zapped. Try going to Apple see what they can find. I think that at this point the water must've done some damage to the Logic board.
