My MacBook won't go to sleep. The sleep light comes on solid, but never starts blinking. When I type pmset -g assertions in terminal, I get this:

UserIsActive 1
PreventUserIdleDisplaySleep 0

The com.apple.iohideventsystem.queue.tickle seems to be some kind of issue in mavericks. Does anyone know what to do about this, or know of a solution? Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but this is different than what those links say. It's the com.apple.iohideventsystem.queue.tickle that is the main problem. There is a long thread on the Apple support as well as on MR forum. So far I haven't found a solution.
