one morning i started my computer and it was working then it was turned off and when i turned on it didnt turn on .

all i get was the white screen of start up with loading but nothing happened .

i changed the hard drive to my old hard drive that have Mac OS X 10.4.11 and worked pefectly , my optical drive dont work so i would like to know how could i find if there hard drive is broken or theres just a file deleted that wont allow me to start up the computer .

Get a caddy for your hd and hook it up via USB and then use Disk Utility to check it. I like the hard drive docks that let you plug in either 2.5" or 3.5" drives.
