Macbook wont turn on

after i restored osx...back to tiger...

it had me do some sort of firm update...

it had me do like shut the comp down and let it update?

now it keeps on making this weird noise from the DVD rom...

and it stays like that...

does that mean its broken?

Did you read the instructions?

You hold down the power button after you shutdown until the light flashes rapidly, and then release it.

i just put a dvd into the dvd drive and it wont come back out

its just stuck there

i dont get it

i just got back from the apple store!

and it appears that logic board needed to be replaced = (
