Macbookpro M3 Pro needs calibration to photo editing?

Hello,

Just buying a Macbookpro M3 Pro, I see it has:

• Brightness (nits): 555.8 / 1,551 (HDR)
• Color Reproduction (DCI-P3): 81.1% or almost 100% !? (some websites says almost 100%, can't understand what is right?!)
• Accuracy (Delta-E): 0.11

With so low Delta-E, I will still need to calibrate it?

What happens with time is that Delta-E starts increasing, or I'm wrong?

Is it done on Macbookpro M3 Pro or I will need an external device to calibration?

Apple has specific instructions for how to calibrate the XDR display on your MBP here:

Customize the calibration using the Pro Display Calibrator

On your Mac, choose one of the options in the Pro Display Calibrator to recalibrate supported displays.

Generally speaking calibration isn't necessary unless you're photo work requires extreme accuracy (ie: you're having it professionally printed for sale or publication), and even then the colors should be close enough to be accurate. If your output is mostly to online sources then color calibration isn't particularly helpful since the end consumer's own displays will have a greater impact on how the colors look.
