MacbookPro16,1 noisy keyboard, is there a fix?

The MacbookPro16,1 has a noisy keyboard region. The annoying sound of poking keys on a hollow chamber. It's right up there in annoyance with someone chewing their food, mouth open.

Try being in a room with others using the same model LOL It's nuts. Anyone else notice this?

I wonder if there is anything I can do to safely quiet this down.

I realize some people like the feedback -- but honestly, the MacbookPro16,1 keyboard is so loud and annoying, this "pock pock" sound, like horses galloping. And in a room filled with these, it's a nightmare.

The keys are also horror for such a high price tag. Rubberdome scissor keys for a multiple thousand Euro laptop .

I connect very quick my Cherry mx red keyboard. I really hate cheap keys. It also better if you use external keyboard, because the keys are printed and the paint peels fast off. It's a matter of a few months if use this keyboad constantly.

High quality key caps are laser etched. There is no wear out. But Apple trys to save money at any point.

I just typed 5 pages of word doc using the new mb 16 and.. it is definitely not my favorite. For some reason, I feel like it is too shallow, and it doesn't make a nice sound compared to my corsair mech keyboard. Not a fan of this keyboard at all, not a deal breaker too.

Best laptop keyboard I've ever used. If you're comparing to proper keyboards you're setting yourself up for a fail. I def prefer it to the magic keyboard Apple has and it's better than the MBA M1 keyboard.

BUT, I don't use my keyboard in a quiet room, so sound isn't an issue for me like it is for the OP. YMMV.

Best laptop keyboard i have ever used are mechanical keyboards of Gigabyte Aorus or more expensive Alienware laptops. The Apple keyboard is nothing special. I would rate it as an acceptable rubber dome keyboard for a laptop with pricing around 500 - 800 Euros. But nothing which is acceptable for a laptop which costs 2200 - 6000 Euros.

I don't see this as an issue - simply accessorise your MBP with a pair of noise cancelling airpods max.

My 16" M1 Pro MBP arrived yesterday, and I am so damn alarmed by the loud noise of the keyboard and trackpad clicking! I'm coming from a 2015 Retina rMBP, and I realise I've been completely spoiled by sticking to that fantastic machine for so long. I don't know why they used this new keyboard instead of taking the wonderful keyboard straight from the Retina generation.

Strangely, the system settings for the trackpad lets you adjust the Click between Light, Medium, and Firm, and it actually changes the volume of the click!!! Are these noises actually artificially generated? And if so, why isn't there a setting to fully control the volume, including all the way to zero?
