I searched the forums but didn't find anything on the forums about the random shutdown website. Has anyone seen this issue with current versions of the Macbook pro? Are there other threads on this topic?

I really want to buy a Macbook pro, and am currently waiting for the next upgrade. (Yeah I know I can be in a forever loop for that, but...)

Well, Macbook != Macbook Pro.

So the site that you referenced, doesn't really apply to your desire for an MBP.

The MB and MBP are two different machines.

Lemons happen, whatever company you go with.

That issue (RSS) was limited to specific weeks of production of the first generation MacBook back in the summer of '06.

Thanks

Yes MB and MBP are different, but was curious if this was a general issue to the laptops. If it was limited to a specific week of production I should be good.
