I just got a 2 GHz Black MacBook and purchased Toast. I went to copy a DVD i had made in iMovie --> iDVD so i dragged the video_ts folder off the disc and then used that to burn a new DL dvd.

But when i inserted the DL media (verbatim 6x DL media), in the list to choose what speed to record at there was only "Best" and 2x.

I thought these MacBooks burned at 6x?

No, see Apple's specs page for the MacBook.

6x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

* Writes DVD+R DL (double layer) discs at up to 2.4x speed

MacBook's only burn DL's at 2.4x, but they burn regular DVD's at 6x.

Thanks for the clarification. It's not a problem, i have my trust pioneer external drive that burns DL at 8x 🙂
