Just Wondering, has anyone run into an issue where the GPU is missing the temp for MacFanControl. If so, how do I get the reading back?

Last thing I did was mess around with airout3.

Running macOS Monterey 12.6.8, MFC 1.5.15 Free. Any thoughts?

I just installed on a clean system and shows same. Probably something needs adjusting with Virtual/FakeSMC which I do not bother.

I have never seen any temp. readouts for more recent AMD GPUs. Neither with MFC nor Hardware Monitor. I strongly doubt them to have any macOS-accessible sensor.

I've booted up with Windows 10 on my Mac and installed macfancontrol.... it does show the GPU Temps.... its probably just macOS and macfancontrol. Thanks again guys.

Yes, you get alot more info with Windows! Temperature, actual as well as max. frequency etc.

Sadly the only more or less valuable info the mac shows is power draw. Not for the card itself but for the PCIe and the connectors.

Most graphic card won't show any temperature in macOS in MFC. RX580 etc are the special cases which has some info can be captured via IOReg.

For other AMD graphic cards, we need something like RadeonSensor to read the core temperature in macOS.
