I am getting a new mac over the next week or so, and I just wanted to know how to transfer my settings over.

I keep all my music/photo files ect on an external so that's not a problem but it's things like, my entourage e mails, my iTunes settings/playcounts and those kind of preference files.
the problem is, I've sold my old mac and have to ship it out over the next day or so, so I won't have both machines together.

I do have an iBook so I can use this to trnasfer/hold files if need be.

iTunes stores it's playcounts etc in it's library file. This is normally in ~/Music/iTunes

Apps store preferences in ~/Library/Preferencs : back up the whole folder.

I don't use Entourage so this is based on best practice. It should be storing your mail in something like ~/Library/Application Support/Entourage or maybe ~/Library/Mail (this is where Apple Mail.app stores it's mail)
