This is kind of strange, and I had never noticed it before. I find that if I don't use the keyboard or trackpad (no peripherals plugged in) for 15-30 seconds while on battery power, the sound goes away. Once you press a key, or ouch the pad, it comes back. I haven't tried it while plugged in, but it definitely happens while on battery...at least with my MBP. The number of applications, or CPU usage doesn't seem to matter either.

Is this happening for anyone else?

EDIT: It also goes away after a few seconds while charging as well...

No, it's stock.

I would call it a crapbook....I like my machine....and the noise isn't that loud... If it really starts to annoy me, I can always turn on photobooth or something, although it's really not that bad. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this happening.

You mean you wouldn't call it a crapbook pro...lol
or turn on itunes and get some rock music playing:D. But, seriously, you should use that apple Support Chat. I used it when I had problems with my iMac, it worked fine.

But if it annoys the crap out of you... you should that MagicNoiseKiller

I just finished saying that I DON'T think it's a problem...and if it ever does annoy me, then I use something to make it stop (like photobooth, or magicnoisekiller...both work...both decrease battery life)
