Mackbook pro fails to connect to the router...

My macbook pro 2011 fails to connect to my router wirelessly or even with an ethernet cable. It was working fine but has stopped. My iphone 4 does connect successfuly to the same router, and so does my PC. Also, if I connect my macbook to the internet through the iphone's hotspot and 3G services, it works just fine. What do I have to do to enable my macbook connet to my router.

Start with the simplest solution first. Reset the router and modem, and try again.
 
Router was reset and reconfigured but the problem is not solved. This is so strange? My iphone 4 and PC have no problem connecting and surfing with the same router.
 
Do you have a Router that you have to switch on for your MBP
to see to connect to it.
Can you see any others network on your screen.
If not then call your internet provider.
