Mac Keeper issue finally resolved
I was able to clear my adware - adware.MAC.OSX.Vsearch. My downloaded Bit Defender App from the Apple Store worked great in finding this malware in my hard drive, library.
I was able to high light and right click 11 of these unwanted malwares of the same kind, but only 3 were removable. It turns out those 3 were the main malwares while the others were tag alongs that would not remove. By removing those 3 masters, the others were gone once I emptied the trash.
I never had down loaded Mac Keeper but it was part of this adware program in my library. A search for Mac Keeper never came up.
I too would like a disk cleaning program because my 3-year-old laptop is getting slower even though my hard drive has about 80% of space left. The Apple store Clearview program that I bought a year ago only identifies files such as unnecessary languages, but does not remove them. I hope to find a program that does it all for me.
