Hi,

I have always used mac mail with no problems, setup hotmail and i was able to send and receive all my emails. I have now sold my macbook pro and am just using a macbook but have backed up the macbook pro and installed it onto this macbook. Since doing this i am unable to send emails using macmail but can receive them. I have been into the settings and cant find what is wrong.

I am using the latest version of OSX - 10.8.3

Can anyone help?

Gmail works fine btw!

It must be your settings, lookup the settings in Google and be sure to set it the way it should.
Also make sure when you send to choose the right email smtp address.
