Let's promote tax evasion, right?

I hope you truly understand what "Tax Evasion" is? It's perfectly legal for people to buy products and not pay tax to the store they are buying it from, provided the store doesn't charge tax based on the state the customer lives in. That's not tax evasion. When doing your taxes you have to claim those products on your tax form. If you choose not to then at that point you're cheating on your taxes......but if you think most people aren't creative on their tax forms anyway then you're sadly mistaken.

You mean avoidance? Unless there is a physical presence of that company in your state, you do not have to pay a dime to that state's bloated bureaucracy :D

This is why I use Amazon for most of my purchases.

Crap. I just spent $2000 on the LaCie 20TB drive from Amazon shipped to Canada. Not worth it to return; I already paid the Customs charges.

Best Buy has $75 off on the iPad Mini's today. Even with tax BB has the better deal on the Mini's.

Its funny how there are so many experts on tax laws or how there are so many people that think that the tax laws that apply them would apply to someone else in a different state.

do any of these sales trump the apple.com refurb store? i'm lazy, but i'm gonna venture to say 'doubt it.'

go refurb, they're apple tested and certified.

Just what I need...$501 off!!!

Well, maybe in 3 or 4 years when I can save that much. ;-)

Depending on what Apple thinks they can get away with, and with inflation, you'll probably be safe to plan on saving at least double the current price if you really want the latest and greatest in 4 years. No joke.

Dude be careful your thing is going to get worn out and fall off.

Do people in the state really get excited about saving $40-$60 on something?

I'd expect to hustle my way to more than that at any time of the year!

iPad mini 3/2, $25 off! No Thanks. $325/$225 at Bestbuy and I picked up a mini 2 earlier today.

I know! I hate all those pesky fire departments and schools. I don't have kids and my stuff is never on fire!

I know you're being sarcastic but I really don't see why I'm supposed to pay for everyone else's kids. In Asia if you have kids you pay for their school. Why do kids get free iPad with my money, then I have to pay again for my own iPad. They can freaking starve.
